This is a great opportunity for a fully qualified CCAB Finance Manager to help drive our business forwards in these challenging times in a job that is unlike any you’ve had before. We promise.
You will, of course, be leading on the annual financial cycle, the monthly management accounts and reporting on KPIs across the business. You will, unsurprisingly, be expected to deliver effective management and development of the finance function and organisational financial controls. And you’ll be very good at it.
But the really interesting part is that you will work with, and support, the Finance Director with the strategic financial management and operation of our business. In this challenging and exciting role, you will actively contribute to the strategic developments that our unique ice sports and entertainment facility offers. That will certainly include the development and implementation of a new ticketing system in 2012 that is crucial to our Business Plan, our delivery of an Environmental Plan (including our first foray into renewable energy) and assisting in the compilation of our dauntingly comprehensive risk register. It may also include our plans for on-site developments, off-site developments and a hundred and one other ideas that we have – but their approval and financing will depend on the business cases that you will help to compile and assess.
You will have strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and direct the finance team to deliver timely, accurate financial information to a variety of stakeholders. Coaching and developing our managers in the delivery of effective financial controls and to help them develop relevant, insightful business critical KPIs are also key elements of the role. Your ability to develop effective working relationships with our managers, commercial partners and contractors will be a key factor in your success.
And because it’s not a normal finance role, the job will require some evening and weekend working to carry out financial settlements with promoters on Arena events.
