The National Ice Centre are very proud of their Daytime Ice Skating Programme which is offered to Nottingham schools. The sessions are exciting, motivational and fun. All children taking part in this physical activity receive a National Qualification in line with the Learn To Skate – Skate UK Programme.
Over 400 children from six different schools have been picking up skating skills since the National Ice Centre started a new School Skating programme early this year.
The children are dropped off at the NIC once a week and they have an hour of special skating tuition from our professional coaches.
Once they’ve completed the five week course they’re presented with a nationally recognised Skate UK certificate to show their achievements.
