Torvill & Dean Welcome the Olympic Flame

As part of the Olympic Torch Relay through Nottingham, the National Ice Centre Ice Gala will take place on Thursday 28 June 2012.

The Ice Gala will feature over two hundred skating stars from the National Ice Centre including performances from both local skaters and members of the GB Performance Team. It will culminate with Olympic and World Champions Torvill & Dean taking to the ice to perform a choreographed dance with the Olympic Flame.

Public seating for the Ice Gala is unreserved and tickets for the event are free. Registration for tickets commences at 9am on Friday 18 May 2012 and tickets will be distributed on a first come basis. A maximum of four tickets can be booked per person. Tickets are only available to obtain in person at the National Ice Centre Customer Services Office, Bolero Square, The Lace Market, Nottingham NG1 1LA. Registration cannot be made online.

The event will take place on Thursday 28 June, doors will be open from 4:30pm, with the Gala starting promptly at 5:15pm. Please ensure you arrive and take your seats in plenty of time.

Please note: A maximum of 4 tickets can be booked per person. There will be an event taking place in the Market Square at the same time as the Ice Gala. The Police have advised that people should not try and make their way from the National Ice Centre to the Market Square event, if you are attending the Ice Gala that will be your opportunity to experience the Olympic Torch Relay.
