Ice Hockey

Ever watched a game of ice hockey and wished that you were in the thick of the action? Well you can be and there is no better place to train than the National Ice Centre, the home of the oldest ice hockey team in the country – the GMB Nottingham Panthers.

If you have never skated before, then simply join up to the Skate UK programme to learn the basic ice skating skills.

Once you have passed Skate UK Level 5, you are able to join the National Ice Centre’s grass roots ice hockey programme – run in association with the English Ice Hockey Association (EIHA), aimed at children under the age of 16.

We also run our Squirts Programme which is specially designed for young players at the real grass roots level of ice hockey from 4 – 7 years old, who want to try ice hockey as a new sport.
