Ever watched a game of ice hockey and wished that you were in the thick of the action? Well you can be and there is no better place to train than the National Ice Centre, the home of the oldest ice hockey team in the country – the GMB Nottingham Panthers.
Open Hockey Training
2nd June – 28th July inclusive (may be subject to change).
Open to all EIHA 4-6 Skate School players and existing club players.

The cost is £6.50 per session, payable BEFORE entry onto the ice.
If you have never skated before, then simply join up to the Skate UK programme to learn the basic ice skating skills. Once you have passed Skate UK Level 5, you are able to join the National Ice Centre’s grass roots ice hockey programme. This is run in association with the English Ice Hockey Association (EIHA) and is aimed at children under the age of 16.
EIHA (English Ice Hockey Association) 1 – 3
Fridays 6.45 – 7.15pm. 6 week course £42.00 (price includes ½ hour group lesson, access to general sessions from 7.30pm and certificate). Minimum kit requirement: helmet with face mask, throat protector, gloves, own hockey stick, own hockey skates.
EIHA (English Ice Hockey Association) 4 – 6
Fridays 4.30 – 5.30pm. 6 week course £52.00 (price includes 1 hour group lesson and certificate). You are required to have full equipment to take part on this session.
Adult Ice Hockey Scrimmage
Scrimmage sessions are aimed at skaters aged 17 and over and full hockey kit must be worn
The cost is £7.00 per session which must be booked and paid for in advance as there are only 30 places available per session

Saturday and Sunday Recreational Cross Ice Sessions
Take place 8.30 – 9.30am only when both ice pads are available and costs £6.50 which is payable on the day. This session is available to all beginner players and full kit is required – we recommend that you visit the schedule or call the Ice Sports Reception to check whether the sessions are taking place.
Monday Barrier Hockey Sessions
Take place 7.00-8.00pm (beginners/intermediate) and 8.00-9.00pm (intermediate/advanced). This session costs £7 which must be pre-booked in advance at the Ice Sports Reception. Full kit is required for the Barrier Hockey Session.
