This programme is designed for young players at the real grass roots level of ice hockey from 4 years to 7 years of age to try ice hockey as a new sport.
We pride ourselves in developing the grass roots of ice sports at the National Ice Centre and the “Squirts” programme is the first rung of the ladder in aiming to become the next Nottingham Panther. The sessions are aimed at 4-7 year olds that have little or no experience of ice skating. All we ask is that the child is keen, motivated and prepared to have fun.
Children attending the Squirts programme are required to wear a helmet with face mask, hockey skates and bring along their ice hockey stick. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the items as we offer the opportunity to hire the equipment for the child at a cost of £1.00 per week in addition to 6 week course fee.
