Skate UK is open to skaters of all ages and abilities. We have everything from Skate UK Tots for 18months+ to specially alloceted adult courses. The hockey grades are open for Junior skaters under the age of 16.
We run six week Learn to Skate courses, backed by the National Ice Skating Association (NISA) – the UK Governing Body of British Ice Skating.
These courses teach fundamental skills and are the perfect starting point for anyone to begin ice skating; whether you simply want to make it around the rink in one piece or want to take part in a more specific ice discipline such as ice dance, figure skating, speed skating or ice hockey. Whatever your goal, we can help you achieve it.
The Skate UK programme consists of 8 grades. Each grade must be completed before moving to the next. After joining Skate UK, the NIC (National Ice Centre) professional coaches will assess your ability and position you in the most suitable grade according to age and ability.
Each session lasts for half an hour and is conducted through group tuition (private lessons are available on request).
Our professional coaches will help you progress at every level. Find out more about what skills you can learn on the ice…
