Skate UK is open to skaters of all ages and abilities with the minimum enrolment age being five years old. The hockey grades are open for Junior skaters under the age of 16.

We run six week Learn to Skate courses, which teaches fundamental skills and is the perfect starting point for anyone to begin ice skating; whether you simply want to make it around the rink in one piece or want to take part in a more specific ice discipline such as ice dance, figure skating, speed skating or ice hockey. Whatever your goal, we can help you achieve it.

The Skate UK programme consists of 10 grades. Each grade must be completed before moving to the next. After joining Skate UK, the NIC (National Ice Centre) professional coaches will assess your ability and position you in the most suitable grade according to age and ability.

Each session lasts for half an hour and is conducted through group tuition (private lessons are available on request).
