Skating enables pre-schoolers to develop self-confidence and improve their balance and coordination skills. It’s also a great way for children to stay active and healthy. We offer free skating for children under the age of five when accompanied by a full paying adult.
The Tots Zone is an area in the centre of the ice dedicated to under 5s and their parents.
It’s available on Fridays 5:30pm-7pm, Saturdays 11am-5pm and Sundays 10am-12pm or 1:45pm-5pm on a first come first serve basis.
On Saturdays from 2:45pm, art on ice is also available so little ones can use paint pens to draw on the ice!
Our ice equipment is free to use in the Tots Zone and benches are around for parents when it’s time for a break!
When your little one is ready to venture out onto the bigger rink, ice equipment is available to hire for £2.50 for the whole session.
Young children can be pushed around the rink on seals, scooters and bananas, whilst penguins and snowmen are for those keen to have a go at standing up in the ice and skating.
Our friendly staff will help you decide which piece of equipment will best suit your child.
Create a masterpiece on ice with our dedicated drawing space in the Tots Zone every Saturday between 2:45pm and 5pm.
Available for young children and families, little ones can use paint pens to draw on the ice, with loads of colours and stencils to choose from to keep them busy!
Due to the nature of the activity, clothing could get stained with felt pen marks. Pen marks will rub off of skin with water, however marks may be permanent on clothing so we suggest bringing some old clothing along with you that you can pop on your child should they wish to participate in this activity. Please note, mats will be available so your child won’t be sat directly on the ice.
