Britannia Cup 2023 Results

It was fantastic to have the Britannia Cup back in Nottingham on 14 & 15 January! All of the synchronized skating teams from Nottingham were excited to be competing against teams from all over the world, as far away as Australia, New Zealand and the USA, along with Poland and Finland.

All of the teams put in amazing performances, with Icicles Seniors, Ice Dreams (Advanced Novice) and Ice Diamonds (Adults) bringing home the British Championship titles. Icicles Juniors, Ice Unite (Mixed Age) and Ice Stars (Basic Novice) came away with a silver medal and Ice Gems (Juvenile) got a bronze so all great achievements!

In the international competition, Ice Dreams, Ice Unite and Ice Stars all earned bronze medals and Icicles Juniors finished 7th against some very strong competition.

Esther Morris,  Senior Coach at the Nottingham Synchronized Skating Academy, said, “after the disruptions of the pandemic, our skaters were excited to have international teams skating at their home rink again. Our skaters performed really well against some tough international competition. We are proud of all their hard work and everything they achieved.”
