A N-ice Nottingham Love Story

Lynette and Charlie Cox met at the old Nottingham Ice Stadium in the early 1950s and have been inseparable ever since. When they met, Charlie had been deployed to the UK with the Canadian Air Force and Lynette was living in Sneinton. Now residing in Canada, they couldn’t resist popping in during a recent holiday to see how the venue where they fell in love had changed since they were last here!

We loved hearing Charlie reminisce over watching Nottingham Panthers legends Chick Zamick, Les Strongman and Gerry Watson play at the Ice Stadium and, after lots of smiles, laughter and a grand tour, our friends at Ice Locker presented Charlie with a Panthers jersey to celebrate the happy couple.
