Summer Family Fun Day

Including Zorbing On Ice

We’re gearing up to host our big Summer Family Fun Day on Friday 9 August between 11.15am-3.45pm. Book a skating ticket and enjoy a host of free activities both on ice and outdoors on our plaza including zorbing on ice, arts & crafts, hockey activities, summer games, St John’s demonstrations, a Segway course, foam archery and much more!

Join us for our first ever zorbing on ice experience by getting inside one of the balls and try to stay on your feet as you are propelled across our ice. You can even make it a race to see who can get to the other side first! Bubble football will also be on the line-up, where you play a game of football as best you can and try to score a goal while zorbing.

We will also have ice hockey try-outs on the ice so you can get a taster of what it’s like to be a Nottingham Panthers player! Drop in to try your hand at different aspects of the sport, such as using sticks, controlling the puck, and even shooting. There will also be a visit from Nottingham Panthers mascot Paws from 2pm onwards.

Our DJ will be playing tunes on the ice and our new photo-booth will be in action next to the rink, loaded with summery filters for the perfect souvenir.

Adrenaline Jungle will be joining the activities outside on our Bolero Square, bringing foam archery equipment for you to try out and Segways so you can zip around a course our plaza like never before. Their helpful and friendly staff will be on site to help your little ones learn techniques safely while having a fun time.

St John’s Ambulance and the Nottinghamshire emergency services will also be there to teach your little ones about the importance of the services with a chance to meet some staff, sit inside a Fire truck and see the vehicles close-up, before attending CPR and basic first aid from demonstrations for life saving skills.

With a big focus on education as well as fun, White Post Farm will be joining us with educational talks about their different animals; perfect for inner city children to learn about animals and nature they otherwise wouldn’t encounter.

Our Plaza will also be taken over by a whole host of summer activities such as family games, a spot from Nottingham Casuals Rugby, a giant BBQ and ping pong tables, with face painting and arts & crafts also available on the day for the ultimate summer day.
